Equispher Presented by Alltech

Ever wonder what your horse sees, smells, or hears? Discover the world from a horse’s perspective in the Equispher exhibition at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy. This tented exhibition which is located in the Games Village is an educational experience for both adults and children. Visitors can learn more about horse’s behaviour, senses and sporting ability through numerous interactive displays and a fun kid’s area.

There are five areas that can help you to learn more about the horse;

Sensory area: Learn more about the five senses of the horse; sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch

Performance area: Discover the athletic ability of the horse and see for yourself the record height and width in jumping

Sport area: Try out different saddles and experience a rider’s view in the disciplines of Jumping, Dressage, Reining and Driving

Welfare area: Learn about the domestic living conditions of the horse, the actual size of a horse’s digestive organs and the different horse shoes used for different purposes

Kid’s area: Games, colouring and lots of fun activities for children to learn about horses

The concept of Equispher was first conceived by two local Normandy business women - sporting communications specialist Martine Villain from Com'elle and equine ethologist Claire Neveux from Ethonova. The project has been co-funded by Alltech and the Normandy Organising Committee who have worked closely with Martine and Claire to deliver a world-class experience and insight into the world of the horse.
