As the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy draws to a close, the Alltech Music Festival is gaining momentum. Thursday night saw an epic performance by opening act Joyce Jonathan. Often called the songbird of her generation, Joyce performed to a packed house, estimated near 8000 people. One of France’s premiere young talents showed why she is expected to have a great career.
While on the other side of his career, but no less impressive, Louis Bertignac gave a masterful performance. As a founding member and front man of the popular French 80’s rock band, Telephone, Bertignac played all the hits, leaving the crowd singing along. In an ode to the day when they used to tour with the Rolling Stones, they even played Satisfaction. For more than an hour and a half, Bertignac gave the crowd exactly what they wanted. Many even stuck around for an hour after the show with the hopes to get a photo of the 60 year old rocker.
